Our HeadStart programme exists to bridge the gap between education and employment by supporting disadvantaged young people to develop the skills, experiences and confidence needed to secure and stay in employment.
HeadStart supports disadvantaged young people at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training). As a ‘pre-crisis’ preventative service, HeadStart fills a gap in the market where the biggest cuts to youth funding have been felt. We do this by focusing on three core elements:
Participants are challenged to volunteer or take part in social action projects in their local communities to build their skills and experience.
Participants can access workshops co-designed and delivered with our corporate partners to enhance their skills, confidence, and readiness for the workplace.
We work with a number of leading businesses to offer a real interview for paid roles and work placements. Participants will also receive a certificate and have access to exclusive events and opportunities with partners in our HeadStart network.
